Bear's skin ached and the blood rushed quickly in his body, making
him dizzy, but he continued to think of the handsome white fur promised
him. |
| When finally he was about to collapse from the heat, he decided
he must surely be white now. He crawled painfully out of the steamy
lodge... |

the water. When he saw himself, he was still black. |
Bear was very angry and be looked around for Badger. But Badger
had run off and was now far away. He had fooled poor Muin*.
Muin is Mi' Kmaq for bear. |
