Philip Hilton

Philip Hilton was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1929, and currently resides in Ft Myers, Florida. Having painted since his teen years, he has focused exclusively on watercolor for the past twenty-eight years. His formal education includes a BSS degree from Ohio University, and courses from Cleveland Institute of Art and the universities of Iowa, North Dakota and Kansas. He also furthered his skills in watercolor under the tutelage of such well-known artists as Zoltan Zabo, Ron Ranson, Pat Weaver, Mary Lois Verilla and Pat Weaver. His style is usually subjective, featuring strong value patterns of light and dark in a wide range of subjects.
