Diana's Statement
What is an artist statement supposed to be?
Should I write about the process? Should I give meaning or purpose to the art? Is art only valid if used for discovery or communication?
An artist is someone who can create something where there was nothing. Someone who has an idea, and wants to share it with others. That means that in one way or another we are all artist. So what makes me so special?
We search for meaning in life, for some purpose for our existence. I believe I have come to the end of my search. The ideas, the passion, the mystery of art is unending in my soul. There is not enough time to create all that is in me. But when I am creating there is peace of mind, knowing that I am doing what I am meant to do.
