Biography
I was born on October 10, 1960 in Rousse to a family of medical workers. I have a younger brother. My father writes short stories and attends a literary club in his spare time, and my mother paints.
I live in my home town, where I graduated from a secondary school of general education.
I started to paint in 1981. I was taught my first painting lessons by the famous Rousse artist Kiril Stanchev and I painted under his guidance for three years.
From 1983 till 1990 I worked in the Rousse Puppet Theatre, the Rousse Public Opera etc., and I carried out artistic projects as well.
I exhibited my paintings for the first time in 1988 in a youth art exhibition in Rousse. Since then I have taken part every year in the annual autumn art exhibitions. Since 1992, I have been a member of the Rousse Group of Artists. I arranged four one-man art exhibitions in my hometown - in 1993, 1994, 1997 and 2000. I work paintings by mixed technique and also oil paintings. I have been on fee practice since 1990. Some of my works are in private collections in Germany, the Netherlands, USA, Canada, Bulgaria and elsewhere.
I live with my family - my wife works in the state sector as an official, my son is a pupil at the English Language School.
